Life is like a cake, it has layers and different fillings.
As you grow up you gain depth and flavor in your life and to your personality. Some of us start out sweet and if your lucky you stay that way, though, you can turn sour. Some start out bitter and turn savory. And some of us have crunchy condiments as an accent. This is due to our unique paths in life.
We all start out innocent in life. We are hopefull and filled with big dreams. Unfortunately, along the way we hit bumps and become distracted. For some it is brief and for others it takes a long time to get back on track. As long as you find your way back, that’s all that matters. Your faith in your beliefs is what is most important. Always keep faith in your heart and you will find your way.
Life is like baking a cake; It’s complicated and if you don’t add the right amount of each ingredient your cake will not grow. But if you discover exactly how much of each ingredient to add and you do create a beautiful cake – at whatever point in your life it’s time – then it’s up to you to choose the flavors and additions you want inside your cake.
My cake is going to be a moist, chocolate cake filled with sweet, strawberry preserves; iced with white cream cheese frosting; and decorated with red hearts for love and passion. There will be 3 layers. One layer for my childhood, another for my young adulthood and the last layer for my life now and throughout.
My cake is finally ready.
