Resilience is the ability to adjust easily to misfortune or change. This is what has allowed me to survive the ups and downs of my life.
I’m able to go into a cope mode when things get rough. This allows me to manage a situation without diving deep into it from a mental or emotional standpoint. When the waves slow, I then think about what happened and why. I process the moment and either store it in my long term memory or let it simply pass through short term memory and dissolve.
My brain is always calculating what is best for me to do. It’s always ticking away thinking about my daily life encounters and figuring out what my next thought, words or move should be. I can’t help it. It’s a natural occurrence for me. I believe things that happened in my early life led me to become this way as I aged.
I don’t believe doors open unless they are meant to. I believe things happen for a reason. I believe timing is everything and there is a reason for when something happens in your life whether positive or negative. There is a bigger presence than us at play – the Universe; Karma; God.
What ever you believe, someone or something is beside you. Guiding you. Protecting you. Teaching you.
How will you play the hand you were dealt?
