Dear Future Employer,
Pick me!
I am looking for a creative environment to work at and provide my personal brand of zest and expertise. I pack a punch in the personality department – vivacious woman. I would like an opportunity to show off my skills and passion* to succeed. I bring to you loyalty and dedication. I have a desire to learn and am extremely adaptable.
I was working hard earning a degree in marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology until life interfered. I fell down my stoop in Brooklyn breaking my foot. Sadly I didn’t heal in time to make it back to school and had to withdraw. I quickly re-enrolled for the next semester. That was taken away from me by the need to have foot surgery. The shock and disappointment of this was hard to swallow. I thought about it and summed it up to life wanting me to do something else. I moved on to what was supposed to be a great opportunity. The position and company I am at now was presented well and I thought I hit a home run.
Ten months later, it is not the right fit for me. I’m back at the drawing board. This time searching more meticulously to find the right company and culture for me. I would like to work with a company that is on the cutting edge of today and making a difference. A place where the employees are passionate about coming to work each day to assist in the branding/building/maintaining of the name/product of the organization. I want to be recognized for what I have to offer and the great potential I possess to be more involved than on the administrative level. A place where ideas are welcome and the employees are cultivated.
My creative endeavors consist of baking (earned amateur pastry certificate from the French Culinary Institute), and the most important part of my life, raising a boy (single mom to a 15 year old) to become a man.
I like to receive constructive criticism. I am continually growing and learning and appreciate hearing feedback on anything I put forth. For me life is just beginning and I’m always striving to be the greatest I can be. I still have much to accomplish and the first step, aside from doing college searching with my son is getting into the right position to kick off my career.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
