Volunteer

I want to volunteer but I’m disappointed I can’t due to my foot injury. There are a couple of reasons why I want to volunteer. One reason I need to volunteer is for me to gain experience in event planning. The other reason is to help people.

I am interested in volunteering with Avon’s Breast Cancer Walk because it helps so many women. I had a scare during the fall of 2010 when my doctor found a lump in my breast. Thankfully the results were negative. The other foundation I would like to volunteer with is the Make A Wish Foundation. This is a very special opportunity helping very special children. It’s also a volunteer opportunity my son can get involved with one year from now when he turns 14. Once I’m up and walking I plan to register with Make A Wish Foundation. I also hope to walk in October 2011 with Avon. I have two obstacles to overcome if I’m going to walk. One obstacle is my foot injury and the other is finding a group I can walk with.

I would also like to volunteer my time to a business, company or person where I can learn and provide the skills I possess. Even better a full-time position. I’m a quick and eager learner who aspires to be better than what I am now. I inspire others to achieve. I am more than just a people person; I truly understand people through my senses and experiences. I am loyal and dependable with accents of leadership, cooperation and initiative. I value building relationships on all levels and look forward to achieving my goals and the goals of an organization.

To volunteer is to gain priceless knowledge and experience.

To walking again.

To the future.
