My beautiful son Nicholas came home from school yesterday with a surprise for me, a tiny box of jelly beans. These weren’t just any jelly beans, they were Jelly Belly Valentine’s Day jelly beans. There are words on each of the jelly beans like love, luv u, cool, hot, kiss, baby, like, u & me, I do, and hug. My son thought we could share them since we’re so in love. Nicholas also had a particular way we had to eat these jelly beans. We weren’t allowed to take one our self and eat it. We had to choose one for each other. We went through the jelly beans either picking one word, one jelly bean to give to each other or we picked a few jelly beans that created a message to give to each other. How cute! And a few minutes of fun together!
Even though I need to watch each thing I eat since I’m not active, (I have a new post about this at http://changewhatitis.com) as a mom you always oblige your child. Children don’t understand our limits and though you can explain it to them they look at you as if confused by your reasoning thinking just do what I asked you. Yes, Nicholas is past that stage since he is now 13 but I wanted to acknowledge his thoughtfullness.
I’m lucky to be a mom!
Look at these photos my brother took of Nicholas during the first big snow storm in NYC over Christmas break. He’s just gorgeous! I was shocked when I saw these photos. Nicholas was playing in the snow and his uncle with his super awesome camera just went about snapping picks. My brother was getting acquainted with his new camera. Great job Uncle Nick!
